Welcome to Foremark Fishery

230 acre day ticket fishery in the Derbyshire countryside for trout and pike.

A trout and predator day ticket fishery on a 230 acre reservoir set in the beautiful Derbyshire Countryside. The fishery offers bank fishing and a limited number of boats are also available for guests. Fly fishing and spinning permitted (later in season) with a chance of a 15lb+ trout or 35lb+ pike. *** 05 September 2022: apologies if you have been trying for this webpage, unfortunately this page and many other Clubmate sites have been done over the weekend. Still no change on fishing status. . . *** *** 01 September 2022: the fishery is still closed and no fishing permitted following the National Trust taking over from 18th July 2022. The National Trust has told us that there will be an expressions of interest and bidding process with a view to bank fishing starting in Spring 2023. We will post any further updates on here and Facebook. The fishery phone is still active. **** *** 02 April 2022: We are still closed waiting news on the lease. Thank you all for your calls and emails, we hope to see you all soon and we will keep this page updated. The fishery phone is still active. *** We are currently closed as the current lease has ended with Severn Trent and we wait to see what we can do with the new lease holder. We do not have a definite date for this so watch this page and we will post any details we get. On Facebook are the pictures of the last three fish caught, a 3lb brown, 7lb rainbow and a 25lb pike which were typical of fish being caught in the last week until the wind turned North East which put them down. We have taken the boats off the water to check, and for some repainting and repair some glass fibre damage. We do have some electric motors and batteries for sale, 55lb R3 Motorguides between 4 months and 2 years old, all in working order. The most damage on any is some propellor scrapes. Let us know if you want one, buyer collects - these are off site near Ilkeston not at the reservoir. We are also discussing with a potential partner to do things a little differently under a new lease. So in the mean time thank you to everyone who has supported us and hopefully we see you soon. Also, remember there are other trout fisheries out there who also need your consistent support, as you might realise the landscape for running large trout fisheries has changed with trout, electricity, petrol, staff costs all up this year and not by any small amount. Thank you, Michael & Alistair email us at foremarkfishery@gmail.com

Foremark Reservoir

Foremark is a 230 acre supplied with water from the River Dove. The reservoir is close to the historic town of Repton. The water is up to 100 foot deep in places and has a wide range of depths to fish including some attractive bays including the Cascade inlet itself. We stock the reservoir with hard fighting rainbows, browns and some blues and there are also resident pike, perch and other coarse fish species including barbel and chub. Sometimes the chub, which run to around 3lb, also take the fly. If it lives in the River Dove its highly likely its also in the reservoir. The perch have been scarce recently but 14lb+ browns and 9lb+ rainbows have been caught in 2020. These are residents that have grown on.
